QA Level 2 Award in Activity First Aid (RQF)

Description

During this 2 day course, delegates will develop the skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations, including: managing an unresponsive casualty, CPR, choking, head and spinal injuries, abdominal injuries, external bleeding, anaphylaxis and more.

Learning Outcomes

• Assessing an incident
• Managing an unresponsive casualty
• CPR, defibrillation and recovery position
• How to deal with:
  -Major illnesses such as heart attacks, strokes, diabetes, epilepsy, seizures and asthma.
  -Head, neck and back injuries including concussion, skull fracture and suspected spinal injuries
  -Suspected chest and abdominal injuries
  -Fractures, sprains, strains and dislocations
  -External bleeding
  -Thermal injuries including shocks, burns and scalds
  -Choking, poisoning and anaphylaxis
  -Treatment for hot and cold temperatures
  -Minor injuries and eye injuries

Suitable for

Sports coaches, referees, club officials or players or those with a specific interest or responsibility in other voluntary and community activities.

Cancellations

If you need to cancel your booking please do so as soon as possible to avoid any charges. We reserve the right to apply a cancellation fee on a sliding scale as follows: within 24 hours of start time we will charge 100% of the course fee. 48 hr – 24hours before we will charge 50% of the course fee. If you wish to reschedule your booking we are happy to do this free of charge up to 48hrs before the course start date.
